Growing Maple Peas (种植豆苗)
Maple peas being soaked
Step 1
Soak the maple peas between 10 - 12 hours before sowing. The soaking process softens the seed covers of the peas and speeds up the germination process. You can sow your maple peas using just water or having a layer of peat moss. There is no significant difference between the two and it's just a matter of preference.
Using just Water
Spread a layer of peas on the container, making sure the peas are not stacked on each other. The peas will germinate within a day and you can harvest in about a week's time. The maple peas are good for 3 -4 harvests.
Using Peat Moss
Lay a layer of peat moss on the tray, about 2 cm deep.
Spread a layer of peas over the peat moss. The peas will germinate within a day and you can harvest in about a week's time. The maple peas are good for 3 -4 harvests.
